On the morning of April 21, MEET48 COO Kai Xu delivered a keynote speech at the main venue, systematically elaborating on the structural changes the entertainment industry is experiencing under the integration of AI and Web3.

The speech pointed out that over the past year, MEET48 started from real idols and used AI technology to create AI Agents with continuous learning capabilities, evolving idols from single-stage characters into “digital identities” capable of real-time interaction with fans across time and space, thus breaking physical limitations and becoming sustainable virtual IPs. Building on this, MEET48 further introduced on-chain mechanisms to establish a Web3 idol competition system, enabling fans to shift from passive supporters to on-chain participants who can directly influence idol development paths, promoting the evolution of fan economy toward a “participation equals governance” model.

As AI technology continues to deepen, MEET48 proposes a development direction from “digital extension of real idols” to “AI-native virtual idols.” AI idols are no longer just virtual images but are content generation and interaction systems with continuous evolution and scalable interaction capabilities, marking a new AI-Native stage in the entertainment industry. Outside the main venue, on the evening of April 20, MEET48 co-hosted the Side Event “Entertainment RWA Night” with Hash Global and Nine Lives Society, gathering projects such as POCHAIN, OLAXBT, TATTO, IPDEX, and Renaiss to explore new trends in entertainment asset on-chain and RWA integration. The on-site exchange was lively, becoming one of the key exchange venues for the RWA track during Hong Kong Web3 Carnival.
