Egg prices stop rising and start falling
The stockpiling support before May Day holiday is still present but has entered the final stage, with upward momentum weakening. In some areas, due to slowed sales, prices have slightly declined. Currently, the laying hen inventory remains relatively high, and overall supply is sufficient. Coupled with high feed costs, it is expected that egg prices will stay high with fluctuations in the near term. After the May Day holiday, a slight pullback is highly likely, with limited room for large increases or decreases. Today, the average egg price in the main production area of Shandong is 7.93 yuan/kg, down 0.18 from yesterday; in Hebei, the average is 7.57 yuan/kg, down 0.03; in Guangdong, the average is 7.87 yuan/kg, down 0.20; in Beijing, the average is 8.20 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday.
