Iran claims to have shot down an advanced enemy military aircraft
The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement on the evening of April 2 local time, saying that the Revolutionary Guard, south of Iran’s largest island, Qeshm Island, “hit an enemy aircraft with a new type of air defense system.” The Revolutionary Guard stated that the aircraft crashed into the Persian Gulf after being hit.
