Sources from Iraq’s security agencies report that since early this morning, the logistics support camp of the U.S. Embassy near Baghdad International Airport has been attacked six times.
Earlier on the 20th, Iraqi security sources revealed that U.S. military aircraft took off and landed at Baghdad International Airport, clearing out the U.S. Embassy logistics support camp near the airport and evacuating personnel.
The source said that in the next phase, the U.S. plans to transfer the camp to the Iraqi government.
Since February 28, Iraqi Shiite militia groups such as the “Kata’ib Hezbollah” and the “Blood Guardians” have repeatedly launched drone and rocket attacks against the camp and U.S. diplomatic agencies and facilities within Iraq.
