Just been looking back at what happened with XRP over the past few weeks and it's been rough. Price tanked from $1.31 down to $1.28 in April with volume spiking during the dump, which usually signals real selling pressure. What caught my eye was the on-chain data—active addresses dropped like 42% to just 18k, which is a pretty bearish sign for any asset.

The crypto ETF situation didn't help either. There were outflows of $1.32M on Wednesday alone, following $2.3M the Monday before. When you see institutional money leaving through crypto ETF channels like that, it's hard to ignore. Open interest actually went up 1.3% but funding rates turned negative, meaning traders were betting on further downside.

Fast forward to now and XRP is sitting around $1.42, which is a bit of a recovery from those lows. Still, the fundamentals looked weak back then—addresses were quiet, institutions were exiting positions, and the technicals were all pointing south. Worth keeping an eye on whether this bounce holds or if we see another round of selling pressure.
