On April 22, according to a report by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) on the 21st, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Baghaei stated that Iran has not yet made a final decision on whether to participate in the talks in Pakistan. Baghaei explained that the reason for the lack of a final decision is not due to hesitation on Iran’s part, but rather the contradictory information and actions from the U.S. and their unacceptable conduct. He stated that the U.S. attack on Iranian vessels is a serious violation of international law, constituting acts of piracy and state terrorism. Baghaei also mentioned that once the talks become results-oriented, Iran will decide whether to participate.
