Recently, the secondary market has been arguing about royalties again, essentially about who should pay the bill. I completely understand creators wanting continuous income, but tying it entirely to the transaction layer, the more they argue, the more it resembles a "moral tax." In the end, it actually encourages the market to find loopholes: bypass transactions, shell swaps, on-chain looks clean but are just taking different routes.

By the way, now on-chain data tools and tagging systems are also being criticized for being laggy or misleading. I think this is somewhat similar to the royalty dispute: everyone wants to use a set of rules to contain complex behaviors, but in reality, some people always find ways to outpace the rules. What I don’t regret is that I didn’t follow the trend of equating "supporting creators" simply with "mandatory royalties." First, understand the path clearly, focus less on emotions, and more on mechanism design—this might be closer to a solution.
