The United States expands sanctions list against Iran involving individuals, companies, and aviation assets

On April 21st local time, according to U.S. Treasury Department documents, the Office of Foreign Assets Control updated the Specially Designated Nationals List, adding multiple Iranian individuals, companies, and aviation assets involved in sanctions related to counter-terrorism and non-proliferation. Overall, this sanctions action not only targets entities within Iran but also covers its transnational business networks in the Middle East and surrounding regions, demonstrating the United States’ ongoing efforts to strengthen restrictions on Iran-related funds, logistics, and aviation systems.
