I recently saw a poll jointly released by CBS News and YouGov, and the data is quite shocking. The survey conducted in mid-April shows that Trump is experiencing an unprecedented decline in support among his core supporter base.

The most startling figure is this: among white voters without a college degree, support for Trump was 36 percentage points in February of this year, and now it has directly dropped to -4 points. This is not a minor fluctuation but a steep 40-point plunge. Some lawyers on social media have openly stated that this represents a complete "collapse" of Trump's support within his original base.

It's not just this group. Nationwide, 61% of Americans disapprove of Trump's job performance, with only 39% approving. Regarding the economy, 63% believe the situation is very bad. On Iran, 64% disapprove of his handling, and 62% think Trump has no clear plan for this conflict at all.

Democratic strategists posted on X that this signals the possibility of a party realignment. Political commentators are also emphasizing how outrageous this 40-point swing is. It appears that Trump is facing not just a decline in numbers but a substantial shift in the voter base he has relied on for a long time.
