The Supreme Leader of Iran delivers New Year greetings.

Today (March 20), Iran’s Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei issued a congratulatory message on the upcoming traditional holiday of Nowruz, the Iranian traditional New Year. Mujtaba said that over the past year, Iran has gone through multiple rounds of “military and security conflicts,” resulting in casualties including military commanders and members of the public. He accused Israel, with the support of the United States, of carrying out attacks on Iran, and said that the relevant actions failed to achieve their intended goals. When discussing the domestic situation, Mujtaba said that external forces are attempting to affect Iran’s social stability through economic pressure and public-opinion measures, but the mobilization capacity of the Iranian people and social cohesion have effectively thwarted those attempts. On the economic front, Mujtaba emphasized that Iran should strengthen national resilience by developing a “resistance economy,” improving people’s livelihoods, and enhancing infrastructure development. On the diplomatic front, he said that Iran will continue to attach importance to relations with neighboring countries and called on regional countries, including Pakistan and Afghanistan, to strengthen cooperation and unity. Mujtaba also pointed out that the recent attack incidents in Turkey and Oman are unrelated to Iran or other “Axis of Resistance” forces. (CCTV International News)
