According to the Xinjinghua Client on April 3, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China recently approved: Comrade Lin Tao to serve as a member of the Fujian Provincial Committee, a Standing Committee member, and Secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Committee.

Previously, Lin Tao served as the Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council.

Public information shows that Lin Tao was born in July 1971, in Jieyang, Guangdong. He has served as the Party Secretary and President of the Guangdong Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Deputy Secretary and Mayor of Heyuan City, and Secretary of Heyuan City Committee.

In July 2023, Lin Tao was promoted to Vice Governor of Guangdong Province and a member of the Provincial Government Party Group. In August 2024, the State Council appointed Lin Tao as Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council, and he is now serving in Xiamen, Fujian.

Previously, Cui Yonghui, born in November 1970 in Enshi, Hubei, served as the Secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Committee. He has also been Deputy Secretary and Mayor of Jingzhou City, Hubei Province, Vice Governor of Fujian Province, a member of the Fujian Provincial Government Party Group, a Standing Committee member of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee, and Secretary-General. In October 2021, he was appointed Secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Committee.

According to the Xiamen Municipal Government website, Xiamen is a sub-provincial city and special economic zone in Fujian Province, an important southeastern coastal center city, port, and tourist destination. Xiamen is located at the southeastern tip of Fujian Province, adjacent to Zhangzhou in the west, Quanzhou in the north, and across the sea from Kinmen and Dadan Island in the southeast. It speaks Minnan dialect and is a major city in the Minnan region, forming the “Xiamen-Zhangzhou-Quanzhou” Minnan Golden Triangle economic zone with Zhangzhou and Quanzhou. By 2025, Xiamen’s gross regional product will reach 898.04B yuan, an increase of 5.7% over the previous year.
