Securitize has appointed Sunil Sabharwal, the former U.S. representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), as a board member. Sabharwal previously held the role from 2016 to 2018 and has extensive experience in cross-border payments and financial infrastructure. Securitize is working to go public through a merger with Cantor Equity Partners II; the transaction values the company at approximately $1 billion. Its current on-chain asset management scale has already exceeded $4 billion, and its clients include multiple traditional financial institutions. (The Block)
