SpaceX's prospectus discloses executive compensation, with Musk taking a symbolic salary

Odaily Planet Daily News reports that SpaceX’s prospectus shows that President Gwynne Shotwell’s total compensation last year reached $85.8 million, placing her among the highest-paid executives in the United States. Shotwell also serves as Chief Operating Officer, with a base salary of $1 million, while most of her compensation comes from stock options and incentives. The prospectus summary shows that Chief Financial Officer Bret Johnson’s total compensation was $9.8 million; meanwhile, as the CEO who is also a major shareholder of SpaceX, Elon Musk paid himself only $54,080.(Jin10)
