According to DL News, a 40-year-old man involved in cryptocurrency-related business in Montpellier, France, was the victim of an attempted home invasion robbery in the early hours of April 11.

The suspect disguised himself as a delivery person, quickly put on a mask after opening the door, and threatened with a handgun, demanding the private keys to the crypto wallet, while controlling his family in the living room.
The suspect was distracted while talking on the phone with an accomplice, and the victim seized the opportunity to resist and grab the gun, during which a shot was fired but no injuries occurred.
The suspect then fled.
After a three-day manhunt, police arrested a 25-year-old suspect and detained him on charges of attempted armed robbery.
The case is still under investigation, and authorities do not rule out the possibility that he was acting under someone else's instructions.
This year, France has reported over 40 cases of attempted robberies or kidnappings involving crypto assets, with some cases suspected to be organized remotely by individuals overseas.
