I find that stop-loss really feels a lot like a breakup. You know the structure is already asymmetric, but you stubbornly hold on, constantly calculating in your mind, "Just a little longer, will it return to the starting point?" The more you drag it out, the more it hurts, and the opportunity cost accumulates like interest. Honestly, admitting loss early can actually help shift focus from "trying to salvage" to "building a more suitable structure next time."
Recently, watching Layer 2 teams argue over TPS, fees, and ecosystem subsidies, I also get tempted to join the hype, but once the reason for buying becomes "fear of missing out," you need to have a clear exit plan. Holding a position without an exit condition is like not setting a bottom line in a relationship—eventually, only emotions are left to take the hit. For now, that's how it is; I’ll practice slowly.
