Starbucks Wins Round in Court in Burn Accident Case
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has temporarily denied a USC student’s request for internal information from Starbucks in a burn accident lawsuit. The student, Sala Lily Shabdiz, alleges she suffered severe burns from a spilled hot tea due to a poorly secured lid and how the cup was handed to her. The judge cited her failure to adequately negotiate with Starbucks before filing the motion.
