An Iraqi Shia militia group, the “Blood Guard Brigade,” issued a statement saying that, as the ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States is about to expire, the group is fully prepared to resume attacks against U.S. forces in Iraq and surrounding areas. The statement said the group has made preparations for long-term combat. If Iran is subjected to aggression again, they will respond with the “first use of advanced weapons.” The “Blood Guard Brigade” is affiliated with the Iraqi militia group “Islamic Resistance.” Since February 28, “Islamic Resistance” has carried out hundreds of attacks using drones and rockets against U.S. forces in Iraq and its surrounding areas.
