I just checked the current status of DRIFT, and the situation remains complicated after what happened three weeks ago. The protocol suffered that hack of 285 million that we all know about, where apparently North Korean agents had been planning this for months. The crazy part is that they stole everything in just 12 minutes using fake tokens and exploiting the nonce function.

At that moment, the token moved wildly, with a volatility close to 60.7% in 24 hours, hitting lows of $0.0387 and highs of $0.0622. Now the situation is different; the price is at $0.04 with a positive movement of 3.58% in the last day. The volume dropped significantly to around $190,000 in 24 hours, showing that many people have left the token.

What bothers the community the most is that security experts say this was not a code error but a complete lack of protective measures. That’s what hurts the most. Now everyone is waiting for Drift to announce how they will compensate those affected. Meanwhile, confidence in the Solana ecosystem has taken a big hit. Analysts continue warning that there is short-term pressure, so many prefer to wait before re-entering.
