Today the network is congested again, I’ve been watching the mempool for a while, feeling like I’m watching a slow-moving queue: your transaction is signed locally and sent out, then enters everyone’s "waiting room," and is then picked up by miners (or packers) based on fee rate/priority. If the fee is too low, it just stays there, and sometimes you’ll see a bunch of transactions behind the same nonce, with the front one stuck, and everyone else just waiting… Basically, it’s not that the transaction isn’t sent out, it’s that it’s sent but ignored.

By the way, I saw someone treating every move of exchange hot and cold wallets as “smart money,” and I’m a bit fed up now. Many times it’s just internal scheduling, which has little to do with whether your transaction can be packed or not.

After I muted the group, I felt more comfortable, no longer being urged by “fast” or “hurry up” to change gas. When things are quiet, I follow a step-by-step troubleshooting: check if the nonce is correct, whether there’s a replacement, what exactly is signed in the wallet popup. Anyway, slower is better, and fewer mistakes.
