On April 21, the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government Office issued a notice regarding the ‘Implementation Plan for the National Digital Economy Innovation Development Experimental Zone (Shanghai)’, which mentions the exploration of cutting-edge technologies. It aims to accelerate pilot applications and productization of brain-computer interfaces, sixth-generation mobile communication (6G), and quantum computing, as well as to build a common technology research and development service platform. The plan also includes conducting research on the mechanism of third-generation internet (Web 3.0) innovation testing grounds, exploring the creation of a trusted technological foundation based on smart contracts, and systematically carrying out technology validation.
