CoinWorld News reports that Wu Shuo Blockchain posted on X, saying that Hong Kong Police stated they received more than 80 online investment scam cases in the past week, with losses exceeding 80 million HKD. Among them, a woman was deceived by a scammer posing as a fake “investment expert,” who used the names “quantitative trading” and “AI algorithms.” After withdrawing funds 17 times and sending about 7.7 million HKD worth of cryptocurrency, she was unable to make a withdrawal. The police remind the public to watch out for scam features such as “high returns, low risk, and low entry barriers.”
