New sale could lead to economic growth in Slidell

The Slidell City Council unanimously approved the sale of a building to Textron Systems for $3.4 million, which is expected to bring over 100 jobs to the city with starting salaries around $95,000. This sale will also save the city approximately $700,000 annually in maintenance costs, fostering local economic growth and opportunities. Textron plans to invest $5.4 million in renovations, with construction anticipated to finish by 2027.
