Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics: In the first quarter, the city’s new housing construction area by real estate development enterprises was 3.05M square meters, a decrease of 3.9% year-on-year. Among them, the new residential construction area was 1.95M square meters, down 15.7%; office buildings covered 38k square meters, down 34%; commercial business premises covered 263k square meters, an increase of 3.7 times. The total completed building area in the city was 38k square meters, an increase of 6% year-on-year. Among them, the completed residential area was 263k square meters, up 13.1%; office buildings covered 8,300 square meters, an increase of 1.7 times; commercial business premises covered 118k square meters, down 31.4%.
