Mars Finance News reported on April 21 that at a State Council Information Office press conference, Tao Qing, spokesperson of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and director of the Operation Monitoring and Coordination Bureau, said that the next step is for the MIIT to accelerate the development of mechanisms to promote the growth and strengthening of specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative (SRDI) small and medium-sized enterprises, focusing on three areas to support the high-quality development of SMEs. First, build stronger enterprises through innovation. Implement a three-year action plan for cultivating high-quality enterprises, launch an AI SME entrepreneurship support plan and a special initiative to empower SMEs with inclusive computing power, support qualified localities in exploring the construction of SRDI empowerment centers, carry out assessments of the industrial chain’s support capability for SRDI industries, continuously enhance enterprises’ innovation ability, and give full play to the role of solidening foundations and strengthening supply chains. Second, create an environment that energizes enterprises. Publicize and implement the Law on the Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, release the “15th Five-Year” plan for promoting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, establish the second phase of the National SME Development Fund, carry out evaluations of the SME development environment, and cultivate a favorable development ecosystem. Third, provide services to support enterprises. Create a national public service demonstration platform (base) for SMEs, work with multiple departments to carry out a special SME talent service initiative, hold a month-long campaign to publicize SME laws and policies, and promote more services to reach SMEs directly.
