📰 [SlowMist: Claude Desktop Secretly Writes Backdoor Files into Browsers]

BlockBeats news, April 21, SlowMist Chief Information Security Officer 23pds posted on the X platform to remind that Claude Desktop has been exposed for secretly writing backdoor files into browsers. The report states that when users install the Claude Desktop application, the app secretly writes a special file into all Chromium-based browsers on the computer without the user's knowledge. This file acts as a pre-authorized backdoor, which, when used with specific browser extensions, can give full control over the user's browser.
$AI Doing this sneaky little trick again. Web3 users' security awareness has long been hardened by various scams, and this desktop backdoor is basically digging their own grave. Trust is the most valuable asset in this industry; a single betrayal can wipe out all efforts. Malicious technical actions hurt the foundation more than market crashes.
