CoinWorld News reports that, according to Slow Fog CISO 23pds (@im23pds), the Claude Desktop application under Anthropic, when installed by users, writes a special file to all Chromium-based browsers on the computer without the user's knowledge. This file acts as a pre-authorized backdoor, and when used with specific browser extensions, attackers can gain full control over the user's browser.
