April 21 - As the host of the US-Iran negotiations, Pakistan is conducting intensive mediation.


On the 20th, the UK cited a senior Pakistani government official as saying that Pakistan is confident in facilitating Iran's participation in a new round of US-Iran talks.
The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on the 20th saying that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dard emphasized during a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi that the US and Iran should resume continuous dialogue and contact as soon as possible to resolve all outstanding issues, thereby promoting regional peace and stability.
The Pakistani Ministry of Interior issued a statement on the 20th saying that Interior Minister Mukhsein Nakevi met with Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Mugaddam.
The two sides discussed arrangements for the second round of US-Iran negotiations.
Nakevi said that all preparations for the second round of talks in Islamabad are complete, and Pakistan has arranged foolproof security measures for the foreign delegations.
