I just checked energy futures and the outlook is pretty red today. May WTI plummeted nearly 12%, losing more than $10 and closing at $83.85 per barrel. A quite significant drop if you ask me.

Futures in the energy sector overall are under pressure. May natural gas is at $2.67 per million British thermal units, while gasoline is trading at $3.00 per gallon. Heating oil is not far behind, trading at $3.39 per gallon.

It's not a good day for energy commodities futures. The movement in WTI is what catches the most attention, but the entire complex is showing weakness. Something to keep an eye on if you're trading these markets.
