Delta Air Lines has suspended or paused six domestic U.S. routes and one international route to Nassau, Bahamas, amidst rising fuel prices, though the airline states these are routine summer adjustments. CEO Ed Bastian has warned that some changes made due to high oil prices might become permanent even if fuel costs decrease. This follows similar actions by other airlines like Air Canada, which canceled flights due to routes becoming “no longer economic.”
