Trump responds to an attack on a U.S. military refueling plane in Saudi Arabia: one of them “suffered slightly more severe damage”

On March 14 local time, U.S. President Donald Trump posted on social media, denying reports that “five refueling aircraft were destroyed at an airport in Saudi Arabia.” Trump said that a base had indeed been attacked a few days earlier, but the relevant aircraft were not “hit” or “destroyed.” He said that of the five refueling aircraft involved, four were nearly undamaged and have already been put back into service; the other was damaged to a slightly greater extent, but is expected to resume flights soon. He emphasized that no aircraft were destroyed and that there was no situation close to aircraft destruction. (CCTV News)
