The Bank of China has installed the country's first batch of full-process departure tax refund self-service machines nationwide.

Foreign travelers shopping in Shenzhen no longer have to wait for tax refunds when leaving the country—an upgrade in tax refund facilitation is being rolled out across multiple scenarios simultaneously. Under the guidance of the State Taxation Administration Shenzhen Taxation Bureau and the Shenzhen Branch of the People’s Bank of China, Bank of China has upgraded its outbound tax refund services and installed the country’s first batch of all-scenario outbound tax refund self-service kiosks at Luohu Port in Shenzhen and Bao’an International Airport. The self-service kiosks, independently developed and launched by the Shenzhen Branch of Bank of China, mark the official transition of outbound tax refunds for foreign travelers into a fast, multi-choice self-service era.
