According to a report by Iran’s Tasnim News Agency on the 20th, although U.S. President Trump said that Vice President Vance and other members of the U.S. negotiating delegation were heading to Pakistan that day, Iran’s decision not to participate in the talks has not changed. Whether Iran will take part in the negotiations depends on whether certain preconditions are met. Tasnim News Agency reporters learned that the ongoing maritime blockade imposed by the United States is a key obstacle to the current negotiations. This issue has already been communicated with the Pakistan side and the U.S., and Pakistan said that it discussed the matter with Trump on that day. The report said the U.S. also put forward other unreasonable demands, leaving the outlook for the negotiations unclear. The Iranian delegation believes that unless the U.S. takes a pragmatic approach and abandons misjudgments that have led to its catastrophic defeat in the military field, the talks are simply a waste of time. Iran will not fall into this futile situation together with the United States. Iran also believes that the negotiating-related information reported by U.S. media may be a hoax, and it has made preparations for another round of military confrontation with the United States.
