These past two days, whenever the mainnet gets clogged, I start to completely lose my mind. Clicking around feels like burning money… But sometimes Layer 2 is so smooth that it makes me forget I’m actually on-chain. To put it plainly, my current compromise is: for big amounts and long-term things, I still go back to the mainnet—just to feel secure. For trying things out, memes, and chain games, I toss them onto L2; with small positions, I can mess around freely. And the money I save on fees lets me try a couple more times.
AI Agent, and narratives about automated trading have been pretty hot lately too. It really makes me want to jump in, but the more “automatic” it is, the more I’m scared that I won’t understand the permissions. One click on the signature and I could end up selling myself… So I’d rather move slower, take a good look at the authorizations and limits, and don’t rush into handing everything over to a robot for custody. After all, what I don’t regret is: I’d rather make a little less in experience fees than save on gas and end up sacrificing my sense of security at the same time.
