Wu said that Lido stated that in response to the Kelp DAO cross-chain bridge attack on April 18, its EarnETH product has approximately a 9% (about $21.6 million) exposure through Aave leveraged positions on rsETH. Currently, they are working on deleveraging and risk control measures. The final loss depends on the disposal plans of Kelp, LayerZero, and Aave; if necessary, about $3 million provided by Lido DAO as a "first-loss protection mechanism" will be used to cover part of the losses. They have also paused deposits and withdrawals to assess the impact. If the resolution is delayed, withdrawals may be resumed after setting a maximum expected write-down. stETH and wstETH are unaffected, and the core staking protocols are not involved in this incident.
