Interesting how the global wealth map has shifted over the past few months. When I look at the richest people in the world this year, there's a really wild change compared to what we've seen before.

Elon Musk now holds the position with $726 billion — something that has no precedent in modern history. The guy has essentially built an empire through SpaceX, Starlink, and Tesla, and now all of it is growing exponentially. It’s not just about the numbers; it’s about his influence in AI and neurotech becoming truly dominant.

Behind him is Larry Page with $270 billion — Google/Alphabet is still leading, especially as the AI boom changes everything. Jeff Bezos has $255 billion; AWS still brings him huge profits. And then there’s Sergey Brin, Larry Ellison, Zuckerberg — all from the tech sector.

What interests me is why this is happening now. AI, cloud services, space industry, semiconductors — all of it is taking off. American tech companies simply dominate, and those who have held onto their shares from the beginning are now rolling in money. Bernard Arnault is the only one not from the tech sector, with $205 billion.

What’s your take on this? The richest people in the world are now practically all tech gurus. That’s quite a significant shift. Interestingly, Warren Buffett, who was long in the top 3, is now in tenth place with $151 billion. Old economy vs. new economy, right?

First, it shows how important long-term strategy is — these people held onto their stakes, and now it’s exploding. Second, it means that the tech sector and AI are really what will dictate wealth in the coming decades.
