Deep Tide TechFlow News, April 20, according to CoinDesk, Kelp DAO will counter LayerZero's explanation of its $290 million rsETH cross-chain bridge vulnerability, stating that the compromised single validator configuration relies on LayerZero's own infrastructure, and the related setup is part of its default access scheme, not a special choice made by Kelp DAO against recommendations. The attacker gained control of LayerZero's servers used to verify cross-chain transactions and interfered with backup nodes, stealing approximately 116,500 rsETH. Kelp DAO stated that the incident only affected the LayerZero-based bridging layer, and its core liquidity re-staking contracts were not impacted.
