Lately, when the mainnet gas fees spike, I start to slack off. Honestly, ordinary users really don't need to go all out on the mainnet every time; the experience is poor and it’s also painful. My compromise approach is basically: for daily interactions, participating in activities, and small transfers, I stay on L2—it's convenient and straightforward; when it comes to large amounts, swapping key assets, or protocols that haven't been tested over time, I still prefer to be honest and go back to the mainnet once, treating the "final settlement" as a way to buy peace of mind.

Recently, everyone has been talking about modularization and Layer-2 (DA layer) discussions are quite lively. Developers see it as the future, but for users like me, it’s more about: don’t make me click ten bridges, just wait half an hour for confirmation… I’ve also had my share of pitfalls with bridges, so now I’d rather pay a bit more gas than gamble on luck with a bunch of cross-chain prompts. Let’s see what’s next.
