The GameFi sector has really changed a lot in terms of providing earning opportunities for players. As someone interested in crypto games, there are some GameFi coins I tried and followed in 2025 that still seem interesting.
Especially, Axie Infinity is still being talked about, with very high NFT trading volume, and its presence on major platforms like Coinbase adds confidence. Gala caught my attention because it is built on true NFT ownership. Immutable also plays a good role in scaling gaming platforms with Layer 2 solutions.
Among the newer discoveries, there is Farcana — a blockchain-based shooter game that offers a chance to earn Bitcoin, which is interesting. Beam also makes Web3 game development easier as a developer-friendly blockchain. Free-to-play farming simulators like Pixels also provide entry points for players.
When choosing GameFi coins, I need to pay attention not just to hype but also to whether the game is truly playable and has a long-term roadmap. AAA-quality extraction shooters like Shrapnel are coming soon, bringing a different approach with the play-to-own model. Of course, there is risk in all these GameFi investments, but the idea of earning by playing games still remains attractive.
