Lately, I've been curious, but the Bitcoin holding situation varies quite a bit by country. I was surprised to hear that India has the most Bitcoin holders in the world. However, when looking at it in terms of population ratio, it tells a completely different story. In India, 6% of the population owns Bitcoin, whereas in the United States, it's 8%. China is only about 2%. Considering the population, India's interest in cryptocurrencies stands out. Even more interesting is the UAE, where 25% to 29% of the population owns Bitcoin. When looking at it by population ratio, the UAE is overwhelmingly ahead. In other words, the popularity of Bitcoin is better understood not just by the number of holders, but by the proportion of the population in each country. I realized again that this perspective is important when measuring the penetration of cryptocurrencies.
