These days I see people rushing the cross-chain bridge again, asking "Why is it still waiting for confirmation?" I actually understand the urgency, but honestly, waiting a few more minutes just gives more buffer for multi-signature and oracles: Are the signers all online? Are the oracles being manipulated? Is the finality on the chain stable? These things are annoying to watch normally, but you only realize their importance when something goes wrong.
I used to be quite stubborn, always saying "I only look at on-chain data," believing that data wouldn't lie; but later I found out that on-chain data can also be deceptive (or designed to mislead you), especially with bridges that are layered on top of layers. Now I’m a bit more relaxed: I look at on-chain info, gauge the sentiment, and when I see hype around social mining and fan tokens—those "attention is mining" crazes—I ask myself first—hype is hype, but where's the safety boundary? Anyway, I’d rather earn a little less and sleep well.
