Recently, everyone has been arguing again about which L2 has higher TPS, which is cheaper, and who offers more subsidies... Frankly, I care more about whether cross-chain is reliable or not. Many bridge accidents are not due to overly advanced code, but because a few signers get careless or fall for phishing; the same goes for oracles—if the price feeds or status feeds are skewed, it triggers a chain reaction.

Right now, I mainly focus on two things for cross-chain: how decentralized the signing authority is, and why we need to "wait for confirmation." Waiting for confirmation isn't procrastination; it's a buffer for reorganization or rollback, especially when jumping from a fast chain to a slow chain. Don't get so excited about "instant arrival" that you forget the risks. It's pretty discouraging that these pitfalls keep happening every now and then, but it's also okay—at least the rules are becoming more transparent. Take it slow, treat the money as money, and you'll avoid many pitfalls.
