Coinbase is testing an AI-based internal proxy system.
Coinbase is testing an AI-based internal proxy system (AI agents) that can serve as “virtual colleagues” providing strategy advice and feedback to employees via Slack and email. The first two agents launched simulate the decision-making styles of co-founder Fred Ehrsam and former CTO Balaji Srinivasan. CEO Brian Armstrong stated that in the future, the company “is very likely to have more AI agents than human employees” and plans to allow employees to create more AI agents themselves. This project is part of Coinbase’s push for “AI + crypto infrastructure,” which previously included the launch of Agentic Wallet supporting AI automated trading and payments. (Decrypt)
