Lately, people are talking about on-chain privacy again. To be frank, my expectations for the word “privacy” have long been lowered: what you can hide is the view of passersby, not everyone’s gaze. The compliance line won’t suddenly disappear either—if you really end up being pursued, ordinary users shouldn’t fantasize that they can turn into an “invisible person” just by using a few tools.

I don’t buy into the whole idea that “if it’s decentralized, nobody can ever control it.”

Especially now, with attention rotating every day—memes, and celebrities shouting and suddenly everyone rushes in—when things are lively, it’s easiest to forget what you’ve done on-chain... Seasoned players tell newcomers not to take the last step, and I want to add one more thing: don’t treat privacy like a get-out-of-jail-free card. Leave as few traces as possible. Don’t touch things you can’t explain clearly—open your umbrella first.
