Recently, I keep seeing people take “the stablecoin supply has gone up” or “ETFs have started drawing in money” and just draw an equals sign to “a coordinated pump”—to put it simply, correlation doesn’t equal causation… Sometimes it’s only that funds are moving from outside into another pocket, doing settlement, or just waiting for the right moment, which is not the same as immediately buying risk assets.

And then there are those on-chain large transfers, or any sudden movement between an exchange’s hot and cold wallets, which get interpreted as “smart money opening positions”—I find that pretty uncomfortable to watch. A lot of the time it’s internal rebalancing, setting up risk-control backups, or big players moving their positions—don’t treat a single transfer like a script. Anyway, what I’m used to is: first keep permissions and exposure under control; if Gas costs a bit more, I can accept it—at least don’t let your emotions end up exposing you.
