Just now, I checked on-chain data and it froze again, even though blocks are being produced, and the chart looks dazed. Basically, many times it's not the chain being slow, but the indexer/Subgraph fetching data, and RPC also conveniently applies rate limiting: when requests increase, they queue, timeout, and fill in missing data, so what you see is a moment of blankness plus a sudden jump. Recently, the testnet incentives and points wave got everyone hyped, with people frantically interacting, which also overwhelmed the public RPC… and then people started guessing whether the mainnet will issue tokens. The emotional aspect is quite real: the more anxious, the more aggressively you refresh; the more you refresh, the more it lags, creating a cycle. Anyway, when I see “data gaps” now, I don’t rush to imagine market moves; I first suspect that the infrastructure is struggling.
