A-shares Market Close: The Shanghai Composite Index opened higher, continued to move up with higher trading volume, gained 0.76%, and was approaching 4,100 points. Across the entire market, more than 3,400 stocks rose.
As of the market close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.76% to 4,082.13 points, the Shenzhen Component Index increased 0.55% to 14,966.75 points, the ChiNext Index fell 0.02% to 3,677.58 points, and the SSE 50 rose 1.12% to 1,420.50 points. The total market trading volume was 2.6065 trillion yuan, an increase of 153.6 billion yuan compared to the previous day.
In terms of sectors and themes, the shipbuilding sector, optical fiber concept, and liquid-cooled server sector led the gains; energy metals sectors declined the most.
In the market, the shipbuilding sector continued to strengthen in the afternoon, with China Shipbuilding Technology hitting the daily limit, and China State Shipbuilding Corporation rising over 6%. The optical fiber concept performed strongly, with Kangxin Technology and Tongguang Cable rising over 10%, and several stocks such as Optical Valley, Zhongtian Technology, and Tongding Interconnection hitting the daily limit. The liquid-cooled server sector also advanced, with Huasheng Shares, Kangsheng Shares, and Lixun Precision hitting the daily limit. The energy metals sector weakened, with Boxian New Materials falling over 5%, and Rongjie Shares and Hanrui Cobalt following suit.
