just scrolled through this wild list of the most expensive events in the world and honestly i had no idea some of these tickets cost that much. like the met gala is 32k just to walk around? insane. and the ted conference can hit 250k which is basically buying a car lol
the ones that got me were the racing events - monaco and abu dhabi grand prix both pushing 5k+ for decent seats. then there's the super bowl starting at 5k and going up to 36k for the good spots. apparently nba finals tickets have been climbing too, averaging over 1k now which is wild compared to a decade ago
funny enough the olympics seems like the most reasonable if you just want to catch something - they had a million tickets at 24 euros to start. but yeah if you want vip treatment at any of these most expensive events in the world you're basically looking at thousands. the us golf masters, poptech, wsj tech live - all in that 1.5-4k range
it's crazy how much people will spend just to say they were there. i get the experience thing but some of these prices are next level. would you actually drop that kind of money on any of these most expensive events in the world or nah?
