Just saw this SEC filing from a couple years back - Christina Sindoni Ciocca, who's the General Counsel at Travelzoo, exercised a bunch of stock options back in August. We're talking 100,000 shares, roughly $572K total. Interesting move when the stock was down that day.
Travelzoo is basically a travel deals publisher - they make money from listing fees and advertising. The company's got decent margins (88%+ gross margin is solid) and their EPS is above industry average. But that debt-to-equity ratio is pretty heavy at 9.04, which is something to watch.
When insiders exercise options like this, it usually signals they think the stock's got upside. Though obviously you gotta look at the full picture - valuation, market cap, all that. P/E ratio looked reasonable at 11.78 compared to peers, but the price-to-sales was on the higher side. Worth keeping on your radar if you're into travel/entertainment plays.
