These days, I keep experiencing "hiccups" when checking on-chain data. Clearly, the blocks are out, but the wallet/dashboard feels like it's a half beat slow. Later, I thought about it and it makes sense: indexers need to organize a bunch of events into a searchable format, Subgraph isn't magic, RPC still has rate limits, and if you squeeze in during peak hours, it's like trying to get a ride during rush hour—queuing is inevitable. Not to mention recently everyone has been complaining about validators eating up too much, MEV, and the fairness of transaction ordering, and it even feels like there's some emotion behind "who saw it first, who saw it later." I used to chase after figuring out which part was broken, but now I don't bother asking for explanations... Some randomness can just be seen as the system's breathing; a little slower doesn't matter. Anyway, I don't rely on microsecond-level emotions to live.
