Recently, someone has been watching large on-chain transfers and hot/cold wallets on exchanges and shouting "Smart money is coming" whenever there's movement, but I remain quite calm... After watching enough, you realize that wallets moving doesn't mean you should follow.
Now I prefer to review DAO proposals, especially how incentives are distributed, who has proposal/veto rights, and how voting thresholds are set. Honestly, the more actively rewards are distributed, the easier it is to "feed" people into only voting for what benefits themselves; if the power structure isn't clearly defined, disagreements later are more annoying than cross-chain bottlenecks.
The habit that keeps me calm is this: for anything I want to jump into, I first force myself to read the proposal/terms from start to finish, then move on to the next step. If I don't finish reading, I don't act. It saves both transaction fees and mental energy.
